1. ENCLOSE HARD COPIES: When sending artwork on disk, please enclose hard copies of the artwork to use as a comparison with the disk output. If emailing, please fax the hard copies. This will ensure the artwork is correct and complete.
2. INCLUDE COLOR SPECS/PMS #’s: Please include any necessary instructions such as size and color information. We print only with four color process or with spot color and need you to note which type of job you want. If spot colors, include the Pantone (PMS) number or send a color match. We cannot promise an exact match but the information will enable us to come as close as possible. We cannot use RGB (red green blue) color for 4-color process. Please convert any RGB graphics to CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) before sending them to us for four-color process and make sure they are in a file format which will allow for CMYK color separations. RGB to CMYK conversion will change the colors, sometimes a lot; therefore we want you to do the conversion and make sure you like the resulting colors.
3. ALL SUPPORTING LOGOS /PHOTOS AND FONTS: When sending artwork it is necessary to include all other support files, such as logos and images or fonts. If you are not sending the fonts, please convert the fonts to outlines or paths. If the fonts are not covered or included, they will be substituted as close as possible, although an exactmatch cannot be guaranteed. Include all linked files with composite. If the file is embedded, it MUST be CMYK or spot color format. The files must also fit the specifications for resolution shown below.
4. RESOLUTION We require 300-dpi minimum resolution. This rule also applies to any file formats embedded in another program. Web graphics are NOT usable as artwork because the resolution is locked at 72 dpi. (Also, Web graphics are generally created in RGB.)
5. Acceptable File Formats and Acceptable Software to have generated them with (for MAC/PC):
NOTE: We require 300-dpi minimum resolution in any of these file formats or embedded graphics.
ATTENTION: Each of the formats above can be useful for both PMS colors and 4 color process, although some formats are specific only to spot or 4 color process. Please send your file in the corresponding format for your order request or additional charges may follow. If you do not know the corresponding format for your order, please call your customer service representative. Please note that Microsoft Word documents are NOT useable.
6. Acceptable Media: MAC/PC: 3 ½” Floppy, Zip 100MB, CD, Optical, Email. Note: When sending files via e-mail, you MUST compress the art. Common programs such as Stuffit Deluxe or Winzip will work for compression. This will ensure proper and faster transfer of files.
Art received incorrectly could delay order and may accrue art charges assessed by the factory. Art charges: min. $45 and higher. Electronic proofs for orders with good electronic art $21.50.
7. CHANGES OF COPY WITHIN AN ORDER – Due to spoilage factors, when changes of copy occur within an order, combined quantity pricing is not possible and costs are incurred for the quantity within each copy change.
